Are your plans not working out like you hoped? This might be exactly what your soul needs to hear. This post comes from our weekly newsletter – Monday Morning Reset – where we reset our faith with the Core 4 each week
✨1 Lesson to shape your mindset
✨1 Scripture to ground your spirit
✨1 Affirmation to speak life
✨1 Question to reflect and reset

In our last post, we talked about how to overcome feeling the blues. If you missed it, you can catch it here.

📑 1 Lesson: When Your Plans Don’t Go as Planned

Have you ever had everything mapped out – the schedule, the goals, the plans – and then life just… didn’t cooperate? 🖐
Things just weren’t working out.
And not for lack of trying because you did all the “right things” – you were disciplined, you were motivated, you prayed, and still, the door didn’t open.
The job fell through, the timing felt off, or maybe it just didn’t feel like anything was working.

It’s frustrating, isn’t it? Especially when you’re pouring so much energy into moving forward and it feels like God is holding you back.
When this happens, we often spiral into questioning ourselves, maybe doubting God, trying harder, or just shutting down.
We get discouraged because we measure progress by how productive we are, and when productivity slows, we assume we’ve failed, or that God is distant.

But the truth is, not every slow season is punishment.
Sometimes, it’s preparation.
Sometimes, we’re pushing for our plan while God is patiently unfolding His.
And when those don’t align, things won’t flow – not because God is being unkind, but because He’s being protective.
The thing is… you’re not being delayed… you’re being developed.

So, instead of forcing progress in a season meant for rest or reflection, pause and ask: “God, what are You doing in me right now?” “What do You want me to notice, release, or receive?”
Let’s give ourselves permission to slow down and take the pressure off because this might be the season where our soul needs rest, not results.
As we focus on building intimacy with God rather than chasing outcomes, and trust that He’s not withholding but aligning, when we finally stop fighting the season and begin flowing with it – everything shifts.

We begin to experience peace even in the pause.
We feel less frantic and more grounded.
We stop obsessing over outcomes and start enjoying God’s presence in the present.
And most times, when we reflect, we realize that God’s timing really was perfect after all.
That the delay had purpose and our detours had lessons. That what felt like a setback was actually a setup for something better than we could imagine.

Remember, you’re not off track, you’re just in a different season than you expected. And let’s not rush through it but Respect it.
Because God’s timing is never late, and neither are you.

📖 1 Scripture

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

This verse reminds us that God isn’t random – He designed life with intentional rhythms. That means your season, no matter how slow, frustrating, or unclear, is not a surprise to God. He’s directing every step, even when it feels like you’re standing still.

💬 1 Affirmation

“I honor the season I’m in. I release my timeline and trust God’s direction. Even in stillness, I am growing.”

Speak this over yourself when you feel like you’re behind, like you’re not doing enough, or when you’re tempted to compare.

❓ 1 Question for You

I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below.

Am I pushing too hard in a season where God might be asking me to pause, trust, and be still?

Don’t rush this one – sit with it in prayer or journaling. God may be gently asking you to loosen your grip and let Him show you the beauty of slow, intentional growth.

Remember that life rarely goes according to our script. But if we’re willing to surrender the plan, God will write a story far better than we could ever imagine. This week, let’s give ourselves grace, letting go of the pressure to “catch up” and trusting the pace He has set for us 💛.

Let’s stay rooted in Christ my friend,

This is so true. we want things to happen on our schedule even if we are not mature enough for that season. very timely message. Trust God timing.
