Hi friend, how are you really doing today?
If you’ve been waking up feeling a little aimless or dragging your feet through the daily grind, then this one’s for you. 💛
Last week, we tackled the trap of comparison and how remembering our identity in God sets us free. If you missed it, you can catch it here.
This week, we’re diving into something we all feel sometimes, even if we don’t talk about it out loud.
It’s not burnout.
It’s not stress.
It’s not even overwhelm.
It’s that quiet, slow fade of purpose in the everyday.
You know the feeling – when you’re doing the laundry, cooking, running errands, working, serving and practically going through your routine taking care of everything and everyone…
But somehow, it all feels a little… pointless.
Like you’re going through the motions but asking yourself, “What is it all for?” or “Why am I even doing all this?”
✅ Here’s the truth:
You’re not stuck in a rut.
You just need a renewed perspective.
When you know who you’re doing it for – everything changes.
Folding laundry becomes ministry.
Writing emails becomes worship.
Waking up early becomes obedience.
Remember that God’s presence gives ordinary moments eternal meaning.
And He doesn’t just care about your big dreams;
He also cares about your dishes,
the daily details of your life,
the unseen sacrifices you make,
and those quiet moments no one claps for.
1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us:
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31
That means even the smallest task becomes sacred when it’s done for God.
He sees it all, and He’s using it all.
Nothing is wasted in His hands.
Now, let’s see how we can reclaim our “why” in our boring, everyday tasks.
Here are 4 Simple Ways to Find Your “Why” in the Everyday .
1. Start with Worship, Not a to-do list
Before you dive into your tasks, pause and center your heart on God. When He’s your starting point, the day shifts – your chores become callings and your schedule becomes sacred. You’re not just being productive, you’re walking in purpose.
2. Ask: Who Does This Serve?
There’s meaning in every role you step into.
Cleaning the house? That’s love in action.
Going to work? That provides and blesses.
Taking time to rest? That honors your limits, and God.
Your purpose is present when you pause to see it.
3. Affirm This Truth Over Your Day
Let this be your anchor when the work feels small. Speak it until your heart starts to believe it.
“Even when my efforts feel small or unnoticed, they matter. My daily obedience is worship, and God fully sees me. That alone makes me enough.”
4. Invite God Into the Details
God’s not waiting for the big moments, He’s in the small ones too – a quiet prayer while you fold laundry or a breath of gratitude while making breakfast. The more you acknowledge Him there, the more sacred your ordinary becomes.
Let’s remember that when we reconnect our actions to our “why,” and our “why” to God, the ordinary becomes sacred.
You don’t need a new job or a big dream to feel purposeful.
You just need to remember who you’re doing it for.
So this week, let’s walk with intention, trusting that nothing done in love is ever wasted.
✋ Your Turn
I’d love to hear from you in the comments:
What’s one ordinary part of your day that’s been feeling empty lately?
How can you invite God into it this week?
Let’s turn “blah” into beautiful, one faithful moment at a time.
You’re doing better than you think 🤗
Let’s make every Monday a fresh start with God!

Thank you for reminding me that the little things matter. I need this pick-me-up, especially on a Monday.🙏🏽
Yes, Mondays can be hard. That's secretly why I chose to do the newsletter on Mondays - I think it will help a lot of people 👌
Honestly it gets a bit hard balancing home and work life. I get so stuck in my routine that any deterrence causes frustration and poof! There goes my peace for the remainder of the day. These little reminders are starting to make a difference though, THANK YOU! 🙏
I totally feel on on that. As a person with a never ending to-to list, it's hard when were thrown off our routines. But I'm glad these messages are helping. It's also helping me as I write them. We got this 😆
Thanks for reminding us to invite God into the details. I was a bit nervous to cook dinner one evening for a larger group than I am used to. I prayed and asked God to bless me with the skills to make everything delicious. He answered my prayers. God will and does help us in what may seem mundane or inconsequential to us.
Wow, I love this Nesta. Yes, God is in the details and He cares about the things we think are small. I'm glad you had this special moment 😊.
I love this newsletter and this reminder to invite God into the details of daily life!! Reminds me of the book Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. It’s a powerful truth!!
I'm so glad you like this message. And thank you for the book recommendation. I will have to check it out for sure 😊.
